Scamp the dog, the childhood pet of author Pamela Roberts and her brother John, has been the inspiration for a collection of stories, which Pamela originally told to her grandson, Hamish, who wanted to know about Scamp and his escapades. The tales, a blend of fact and fantasy, evolved into bedtime stories and it wasn't long before she decided to turn them into books for all the children in the family to enjoy. She enlisted the help of Diane Roberts to illustrate them. The children loved the stories so much that Pamela decided to publish the books so that they could be enjoyed by many more children.
Three of Pamela's books, Scamp Finds a Home, Scamp and the Burglars and Scamp Meets Father Christmas, have now been published.
