I designed this ad in response to a college brief which required a plausible subject for a press-based April Fool's campaign.

The college brief behind this work was to design a book cover for a ficticious title.

Proposed logo and stationery design for UMETO, an organisation concerned with improving adult literacy and numeracy. The M, E and T are joined to convey the supportiveness and inclusivity on which the company prides itself. There is a hole in the centre of the letter O of UMETO. On the reverse side of the stationery the hole becomes the O of a positive word, reflecting the benefits of improving one's skills.

The brief was to design a cover, contents page and double page spread for a commemorative issue of The Sunday Times Magazine marking the 50th anniversary of the M1.

The brief behind this beer mat design was based around encouraging people to return to the Sports Cafe to watch specific a sporting event, in this case The Grand National. The idea being that people would use the beer mats as props, film their own races on their mobile phones, send them to the number on the beer mats (and screened advert*) and return on the day of The Grand National to see if their race is screened. If so, they'd win a free round of drinks. |
